Getting a blog

Is is possible for me to have a blog here?  I noticed that there is a student section and a few blogs are there.  I'd like to have one as well as I'll be doing some sharepoint design work to customize our look and feel and would like to blog about my experiences...along with anything else that I stumble across in the trenches that might be helpful to others.
