Hi Jesika,
I am not certain what Microsofts criteria is for becoming a Dynamics MVP today. However, I can share what my experience has been with regards to keeping my SharePoint MVP status.
I would have to say the absolute first criteria my MVP Lead looks for is a passion for the technology. I think it is very important to have this passion because there is a lot of personal time that is given. And, to give all this personal time, you may as well have fun with it! To give you an example of this, here is what I do to share with the community:
- Blogging about how to be successful implementing SharePoint and solving "real world" business problems.
- Speaking at conferences.
- Speaking at SharePoint User Groups.
- Monitoring forums and answering questions; i.e. helping out!
- Managing this community.
- Write and deliver the SharePoint Beagle newsletter.
The first thing I recommend is to begin spending time in the Microsoft forums related to Dynamics and start answering questions. I also recommend you start blogging about your experience with the product. If you need a blog, we would be happy to host one here. I know this community is Mastering SharePoint but Dynamics products are a big part; we see Dynamics integration on a regular basis.
Last but not least, I recommend you find other Dynamics MVP's and get to know them. The best way to do this is to comment on their blog posts and write about their blog posts.
